25 Stunning Digital Painting Video Tutorials

Digital painting are one of the most used drawing techniques in these days, we can see the best examples of digital painting in gaming and animation industry.

“Digital painting is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, impasto, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer….” -Wikipedia.

Most of the paintings collected below are created in Photoshop, personally I love to draw on paper with pencils, and never tried digital drawing yet. suraj, what you said is very true! :) i am a practitioner of game making and digital art and need to know to draw realism..while i was wandering at different sites to find some good speedpaints (i love to see them because it helps me to get some tips:P) but i've seen at different places people criticizing realism but"Realism is necessary, because after practicing it, they use these techniques on their projects related to games and animation. Anyway these artists awesome! Hats off! :D" i am glad that understand :) :)

Awesome videos on digital. Would love to have a step by step drawing tutorial as post next time. Particularly graphite pencil based portraits.

Wow man, all the 25 videos are awesome. i have already checked few videos now. The top 5 videos with long time are
1) Twilight - 9:07mins (24th video)
2) Avatar - 7:44mins (23rd video)
3) Baby - 6:00mins (17th video)
4) Megana fox - 5:47mins (11th video)
5) Helle berry - 4:46mins (15th video)
and many more aweomse paintings which will take days and months of tremendous hardwork and practise. Nice post :)

nice videos! Though CS5 has a wide range of new features to help us better a clicked photo, these videos give a new dimension to innovation that can be achieved!

Wow, these are all really pretty amazing. I love the ones that look like actual paintings... not so much the ones that look so real that they could be mistaken for a photo. At that point, save yourself a bunch of time and just take the photograph. ;) Thanks for posting these.
