Digital painting are one of the most used drawing techniques in these days, we can see the best examples of digital painting in gaming and animation industry.
“Digital painting is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, impasto, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer….” -Wikipedia.
Most of the paintings collected below are created in Photoshop, personally I love to draw on paper with pencils, and never tried digital drawing yet. Wow, these are all really pretty amazing. I love the ones that look like actual paintings… not so much the ones that look so real that they could be mistaken for a photo. At that point, save yourself a bunch of time and just take the photograph. ;) Thanks for posting these.
Realism is necessary, because after practicing it, they use these techniques on their projects related to games and animation. Anyway these artists awesome! Hats off! :D

Awesome videos on digital. Would love to have a step by step drawing tutorial as post next time. Particularly graphite pencil based portraits.
