Cheap ways for creating website and finding freelancers

Posted in Design By Suraj Vibhute

Are you planning to start online business or personal website or blog? But don’t know how to then here is rough guide for it that will help you to get your own small website or blog in few dollars. I recommend try to spend some money because it will give you good results than free methods.

There are many ways to get your own website with cheap amount. Have you seen many advertises in newspapers as well as on internet that saying get your website in only 250$ etc? Don’t think about that because it may be so expensive for you. There are many alternatives for these types.

Therefore, it would be wise to find freelance designers. Freelancers are very good in their job and you can get good results with fewer budgets. These people are often working from home so they do not have a high operation price like that of a company. It is important to go

get freelancer for your project

with a freelancer if you are looking for a small and simple site. You can probably get one done for $30 to $60. On the other hand, they will be able to design good quality of graphics which are similar to those of designers from big companies, so it is wise way to choose freelance designer rather than big

web designing companies (only if you are planning about small website).

However, its time to find a good freelance designer. The best way to do this would be to go freelance designer’s communities like freelancer.com, elance.com. There, you can post the abstract of your project and get thousands of freelancers to bid on your project, so you will surely get the best deal. On top of that, you will be able to choose the designers based on their skills, experience, past dealings and ratings, so your value for money is secured.

Here is the second way of creating your own website or blog, why not to create yourself? Why waste hundreds of dollars for only 4 to 5 page website? Are you thinking that how it can be possible without knowing any web-design language? Don’t worry friend with the help of programs such as Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver etc you can create your own website easily. If you are thinking about blog then there are many platforms present (Recommended: Self-hosted) for it like WordPress, drupal, Joomla etc. with these platforms you can create blog without knowing any language.

Both methods are good, if you are lazy and don’t want to waste time then first method is best for you. Below I am giving 10 sites for finding freelancers, where you can find many good freelancers, graphic designers (helpful for creating banners, images, and logo etc).

I agree with you Suraj, you should spend a little to your site if you want to use it as money making site, it's like investing in a small business but not too much, there are free templates and you can make your own personal header even if you have a little knowledge in photoshop or other program.

Macromedia Dreamweaver is the best option for creating your website on your own, as you need only a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, else everything is Wizard type, but here i would say personally I just like creating my blog in self hosted services like wordpress and blogger, as they require no technical knowledge and it is best for beginner like me!!!

PeoplePerHour.com charges outrageous prices for their services! And the free service is cheap and stingy, other sites are better!

Yaa you are right Sairam but wordpress.com and blogger are not self-hosted, we call it free blogging platforms. If you purchased domain like machoarts.com as well as hosting system and installed WordPress on it then it become self-hosted and I bet that this self-hosted system is much better for SEO and well as for good ranking.

Good to know that because it will help other people who are finding freelancers. Thanks for comment Rama. :)

I agree with you Suraj. All sites that we build are built on wordpress.org on self hosted directories. You get the best of both worlds and can build a static looking site with the support of over 10,000 developers, tons of plugins, and unlimited templates. Building with dreamweaver and hand coding without using hooks seems a bit like reinventing the wheel when it already exists. Just my 2 cents... of course I could be wrong.

Anyone know the benefits of hand coding a site in dreamweaver versus using wordpress.org?

Yes you are right Ryan, Wordpress is best option for non-techie people, it saves lots of time and easy to manage.
